Capt (r) Safdar arrest: Several top Sindh police officers go on leave
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Inspector General (IG) Sindh Mushtaq Mahar has gone on leave for an indefinite period of time following the arrest and release of PML-N leader Captain (retd) Safdar in Karachi.
According to Dunya News sources, Additional IG Special Branch Karachi Imran Minhas has also applied for two months leave over disheartenment with the current situation.
He said in his application that since yesterday, all officers are in a state of shock and he is unable to work in such an environment. Sources said that several other police officers are also likely to go on leave from duty.
The Additional IG further wrote in his application that there has been undue interference in the working of Sindh Police, officers and employees are disheartened and depressed with the incident.
Sources have said that several other police officers, including DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab, are also going to go on leave.
