Time has come to send 'puppet' govt packing: Bilawal Bhutto
Bilawal Bhutto asserted that true democratic parties are on one page.
LALAMUSA (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday said that time has come to send ‘puppet’ government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) packing.
While addressing a press conference in Lalamusa, the PPP leader said that incompetent government has destroyed the lives of the people in just two years. The incumbent government is unable to bear the popularity of opposition parties and their rallies, he added.
Bilawal Bhutto asserted that true democratic parties are on one page.
He further stated that everyone is watching the perplexed faces of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and his federal ministers over the opposition’s drive.
The reaction came as Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of major opposition parties, has launched its anti-government campaign in Jinnah Stadium, Gujranwala today.
Political workers have gathered at the stadium for the first public meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement that wants to oust Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in the centre.
At least 7,000 policemen and officers have been deployed at the Jinnah Stadium for security reasons. The venue of the PDM’s public gathering has been decorated with flags and banners of all opposition parties.
Police have also prepared a plan to stop the caravans going to attend the rally. More than 24 entry and exit points to the city have been cordoned off and more than 45 mobile police teams have continued their patrols across the district.
