LAHORE (Dunya News) – Badar Rasheed Khan, who filed sedition case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, turned out to be the worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

According to sources, Badar Rasheed Khan is an active president of PTI Youth Wing in Ravi Town and used to attend different meetings with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar.

On the other hand, the governor house administration has denied any relation with Badar Rasheed Khan.

Sources further told that Badar Rasheed is also booked in criminal cases including attempt to murder, weapon possession and interference in state matters.

Earlier, Lahore police told that the case against Nawaz Sharif over his provocative speeches to defame Pakistan’s institutions was not filed by the government. The complaint was registered by Badar Rasheed Khan under legal provisions to launch probe into the matter on merit.

The clarification came after Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed extreme disappointment over FIR against Nawaz Sharif.
