Khawaja Asif's statement against me attempt to divide opposition: Asif Zardari
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Monday has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif’s statement against him is an attempt to divide opposition.
While talking to media after accountability court appearance, the PPP leader said that Khawaja Asif gave such statement on someone’s behalf. We have to fight fake cases as long as we are in opposition, he added.
On the other hand, Accountability court has indicted Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane and Thatta water supply references.
During the hearing, the PPP leader has pleaded not guilty in the cases. The court has also indicted 19 accused in Park Lane and 15 accused in Thatta water supply references.
Earlier, accountability court had also indicted Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and Omni Group Chairman Khawaja Anwar Majeed in mega money laundering reference.
