More areas of Karachi put under micro smart lockdown amid rising Covid-19 cases
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Daily coronavirus cases are gradually increasing in different districts of Karachi, prompting the administration to restrict the movement of citizens by imposing micro-smart lockdowns in more areas. Only essential and medical stores will be allowed to open, that too at certain times.
According to details, micro-smart lockdown has been imposed at Surjani Town, Saima Villas, Darakhshan Society, Model Colony, Korangi No 2, Al Falah Society, Shadman Town, Al Mustafa Apartments Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Askari IV, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and some areas of Martin Quarters.
So far, 9 marriage halls have been sealed in six districts of the city. 41 restaurants were sealed for violating SOPs while 67 were given warnings. 7 shops, factories and medical stores were also sealed. A fine of Rs 130,000 was also imposed by the concerned authorities for various violations.
