Law Ministry rejects extension in Chairman NAB's tenure
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Law Ministry on Tuesday rejected a proposal by NAB to extend the tenure of Chairman NAB, Deputy Chairman and Prosecutor General.
According to sources, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had suggested to the Law Ministry that the NAB Ordinance be amended to extend the tenure of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Prosecutor.
Rejecting the proposal, the Law Ministry said that the tenure of the said posts was in line with the tenure of other autonomous bodies and that NAB could not provide clear reasons for extension of tenure.
