ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Member National Assembly and Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council Ramesh Kumar has said that Indian police tried to hide facts related to Jodhpur incident in which 11 Pakistanis of Hindu community were mysteriously killed last month.

He said this while in a meeting with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad today. He briefed the Foreign Minister on the latest details of the incident.

Ramesh Kumar said that despite strong demands, the incident was not being investigated transparently and Indian police were calling the incident a case of suicide.

Speaking on the occasion, the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan has strongly protested with India over this inhumane act.

He said that we have demanded from the Indian government to involve Pakistan in the investigation process for a fair investigation.

The Foreign Minister said that the protection of minorities is the top priority of the government and we are deeply saddened by the death of a Pakistani Hindu family in India.

Later, Ramesh Kumar, while giving a press conference on this important issue, said that the FIR on the murder of 11 Pakistanis in Jodhpur was not registered.

The Pakistani embassy was not being given access to the incident. Until a copy of the case is received, the Hindu community will hold a sit-in in Islamabad, he added.
