Negligence by govt officials will not be tolerated: CM Buzdar

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that any negligence by government officials will not be tolerated.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Usman Buzdar vowed strict action against government officials and their head of departments for exhibiting negligence.
“I summed a meeting of operational heads of Lahore and formed a committee to give agenda of 38 points for betterment of Lahore”, he said “We are monitoring progress on these points and some officials have been suspended. Another meeting will be held and I will personally visit areas to monitor the situation.”
Answering a question regarding corruption in the province, he said that corrupt practices at higher level has reduced significantly and now government wants to reduce such practices at lower levels to provide relief to masses.
Talking about drainage of rain water, CM Punjab said that government is working on a project to improve underground drainage of rain water. He also lashed out at previous governments and said that during last 10 years adequate funds for sewerage system were not allocated.
