Hamza Shehbaz tests positive for coronavirus: Marriyum Aurangzeb
Hamza is suffering from high fever from last three days: PML-N spokesperson
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif has contracted novel coronavirus, spokesperson of the party Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed.
Marriyum Aurangzeb revealed that Hamza is suffering from high fever from last three days and asked authorities to shift him to hospital. Government should fulfil its responsibility of providing health facilities as any negligence can endanger his heath, she added.
Shehbaz Sharif, in a tweet, also said “My son has contracted coronavirus in jail. After facing NAB cases during Musharraf tenure, now he is fighting political revenge of NAB-Niazi nexus with utmost courage and steadfastness.”
Opposition leader also requested everyone to pray for early recovery of his son Hamza.
On the other hand, prison officials have claimed that they have not received final report of Hamza Shehbaz’s coronavirus test and said that the accused will be quarantined as soon as jail authorities receive the report.
Officials said that Hamza might have contracted the disease from court premises instead of prison. They added that Hamza’s food also comes from his home.
According sources, yesterday Hamza Shehbaz also spent time with his family including his father Shehbaz Sharif who also hugged him.
