NAB arrests three Balochistan health department officials on corruption charges
QUETTA (Dunya News) – In another corruption case of several million rupees in Balochistan, NAB has arrested three officers of the provincial health department.
A statement issued by the spokesperson of NAB Balochistan said that the arrested officers include former Additional Director MSD Balochistan Health Department and two others for embezzling millions of rupees.
According to the NAB statement, the officials involved embezzled more than Rs 400 million from the public treasury in procurement of injections. The purchase price for the injection was received in advance but the supply was only shown in the official papers.
The statement said that Chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has a zero tolerance policy against corruption; those that plunder the public treasury will be brought to justice. Government resources are entrusted by the people and every possible action will be taken against those involved in breaking that trust.
