FM Qureshi leaves for Moscow today to attend SCO meeting

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is flying to Moscow today for a two-day visit to attend the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Forum.
FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi was invited by his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. After the Heads of State Forum, the CFM forum is considered to be the largest forum in the SCO which discusses key regional and international issues. Twenty documents in connection with the SCO Summit will be discussed in Moscow.
The main objectives of the SCO include mutual trust, better neighborly relations, regional peace and stability, the establishment of a framework for effective cooperation, culture, trade, economy, science and technology and other fields.
Apart from Pakistan, SCO member states include Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In addition to attending the SCO meeting, the Foreign Minister will also have other important bilateral meetings.
