Govt should provide relief to people: Sheikh Rashid
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that Pakistan is out of tough times, if we do not give relief to the people this year too, it will be a problem for us.
Speaking on Dunya News program "On the Front", he said that mafias are powerful in this country. Businessman community is an economic buffalo of this country, which swallows the desires of the people. He said that the businessmen have relations with every government. When politics changes, they are also present in the changing politics.
He said that Imran Khan wants to deliver and has laid his hands on the mafias for the first time. Imran Khan is the only leader who is not accused of corruption, he added.
Sheikh Rashid said that the previous two governments have looted the country. We couldn t tell people correctly what the problems were left by the previous governments. Flour and sugar became more expensive due to previous governments.
The Railway Minister said that some people were working to bring PPP and PTI on one page. The Pakistan Army wants the situation in Karachi to be better. Whatever work the army started, it was completed. The situation in Karachi is about to improve.
He said that the Prime Minister will announce the package for Karachi. If the PPP and PTI agree on the administrator, the package will be announced. I don t know yet what name the two parties will agree on, he added.
Talking about his illness, Sheikh Rashid said that he was discouraged because of Coronavirus as he was not getting the vaccine. He raised question that what will happen to the poor? He regretted that money is everything in Pakistan.
When asked about his book he said that the first edition of the book has been already sold and because of Coronavirus he could not write much.
He said that both former president Pervez Musharraf and Imran Khan are leaders but Nawaz Sharif is not a leader but a businessman and was introduced to politics. He revealed that all politicians are the product of GHQ.
