200 Pakistanis stranded in India lockdown return home
LAHORE (Dunya News) - 200 Pakistanis stranded in India due to coronavirus lockdown in the country returned to Pakistan through Wagah border on Thursday.
Wagah border on Pakistan’s side and Attari border on the Indian side were opened for one day exclusively for the return of Pakistani citizens.
The Pakistani citizens were stranded in various states of India after it imposed lockdown to control the spread of the pandemic. Pakistani nationals were stranded in states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan.
The repatriation of 200 Pakistanis was made possible by the efforts of the Pakistan High Commission in India.
