Rain expected in upper parts of country on Friday
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Rain is expected in Islamabad, Upper and Central Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Friday while thunderstorms are expected in some places of South Punjab. The weather will remain hot and dry in Sindh and Balochistan.
According to the Meteorological Department, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Okara and Sahiwal will experience thunderstorms on Friday.
It will be partly cloudy in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, more rain with lightning is expected in Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan and Haripur. Besides, more rain is also expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
In the last 24 hours, thunderstorms lashed most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper, Central Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir and the weather remained dry in other parts of the country.
The highest rainfall of 39 mm was recorded in Kalam. Besides, Malam Jabba recorded 24mm rain, Pattan 21, Saidu Sharif 19, Chitral 16, Kakul 04, Balakot 03, Dir 02, Jhang 32, Joharabad 15, Hafizabad 12, Toba Tek Singh 10, Bahawalnagar 09, Attock 08, Sargodha 07 , Faisalabad 06, Nurpur Thal 05, Khanewal 02, Islamabad 01, Gopis 07, Hunza and Bagrut 04, Gilgit 01 and 5 mm rain was recorded in Muzaffarabad.
