CM Buzdar approves ten new Panahgahs in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved to build ten new Panahgahs [shelter homes] in Lahore and directed the concerned authorities to finalize locations for them soon, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

The chief minister said that Panahgahs will be made in rented buildings and will be constructed in other big cities phase-wise. Rehabilitation centers will be formed for drug addicts, Usman Buzdar said while adding that the former governments did nothing for the poor.

The CM has also decided to open Langar Khanas [soup kitchens] outside Panahgahs and vowed to further improve the system. Usman Buzdar has directed to place traffic sign boards identifying Panahgahs.
