Mayor Karachi threatened to move court against Sindh government secision.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar has rejected the Sindh government move to create to further divide Karachi and termed the move to form Kemari district as a linguistic conspiracy against the city, Dunya News reported on Thursday.

Wasim Akhtar said that other major cities of the country including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta area comprising one district each and added that the Sindh government wants to further divide Karachi for political gain.

He was of the view that Karachi s mandate was ignored in an important decision regarding the city. He said that conspiracy measures of Sindh government will be opposed at every level and threatened to move court against Sindh government secision.

Mayor Karachi said that the constitution also provides for the creation of more provinces and added that if new districts are being created in Karachi then more provinces can be formed in Sindh.
