The letter also acknowledged the support from Pakistani previous governments over the years. “Ever since the creation of Pakistan, every Government has always supported the just cause of Palestine on all the forums. The Embassy heartily appreciates the stance of H.E. Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan when answering to the question about Israel, said that the founder of Pakistan had made it clear that Israel would not be recognized until a just and fair solution to the Palestinian problem is given. The prime minister said we will be answerable to Allah on Palestine issue, and his conscience will never allow accepting Israel without a solution to the Palestinian issue. He said that Pakistan’s position is very clear, Pakistan can never recognize Israel. If we surrender to Israel, then we must leave Kashmir”.
On Tuesday in an interview on Dunya News program "Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath", Imran Khan categorically denied that Pakistan would recognise Israel, a few days after the UAE established formal relations with Tel Aviv. He stated that Islamabad won’t do so until Palestinians are not given their right to a “just settlement”.
He said Pakistan’s role was to get the entire Muslim world united, however, stressed that the country’s foreign policy on Palestine was clear. “On account of the atrocities by Israelis on Palestinians, we as Muslims are accountable before Allah Almighty,” he added.
