Kamyab Jawan Program essential to eliminate negative economic effects: PM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Kamyab Jawan program is very important to eliminate the negative impact of Coronavirus on the national economy, youth must be made partners for economic development.
According to details, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Usman Dar and Finance Advisor Abdul Hafeez Sheikh called on him to brief on the latest statistics of the Kamyab Jawan program. Under the program, consultations were held to expedite the distribution of money among the youth.
The Prime Minister was informed that in a few days, more than 30,000 youths applied for the loan under Kamyab Jawan Program and for the convenience of the youth, 21 banks will complete the distribution of funds.
So far, an amount of Rs. 1 billion has been distributed among the youth, and applications for more than Rs. 53 billion have been received.
The Prime Minister said that the distribution of funds should be completed in a speedy and transparent manner. He also directed to keep an eye on the money distribution process throughout the program. Transparency and merit should not be compromised at any level, he added.
Expressing satisfaction over the progress made so far in the program, PM Imran Khan said that he was personally monitoring the program. He directed Special Assistant Usman Dar to submit a review report every month.
