Toshakhana reference: Zardari to appear before Accountability Court today
Asif Ali Zardari will appear before Accountability Court in Toshakhana reference today (Monday).
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former President and Pakistan People s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will appear before Accountability Court in Toshakhana reference today (Monday) in Islamabad.
The PPP held a consultative meeting in Islamabad on Sunday night to chalk out strategy ahead of Asif Zardari s appearance before Accountability Court. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari presided over the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the senior members of the PPP and legal team of the party. The legal team briefed Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari on NAB cases.
The meeting directed to People s Lawyer Forum and senior members of the PPP to accompany the former president during his appearance before the Accountability Court. However, the PPP workers were barred from attending the court proceedings in the wake of coronavirus epidemic.
On the other hand, Chief Commissioner Islamabad has ordered foolproof security of Accountability Court and NAB offices. The service road outside the Accountability Court will remain closed for traffic.
The security of Accountability Court and NAB offices has been beefed up and entry of unauthorized persons has been banned. Over 1000 police officials will be deployed for security of the accountability court.
