ML-1 biggest project of incumbent govt: Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid has said that ML-1 project of Railways is biggest project of incumbent government.
Sheikh Rashid, while addressing a press conference in the federal capital, said that completion of ML-1 project was mission of his life. It is also honor for Prime Minister Imran Khan that this project was launched during his tenure, he added.
While explaining benefits of the project, railways ministers said that currently there are about 1000 crossings on Lahore- Karachi route but with ML-1 project signal system will be automated and travel time will be reduced. He added that Railways is also increasing speed of trains from 70/80kph to 180kph.
Sheikh Rashid further said that the work on ML-1 and Nullah Lai will start this year. He added that government will give tender to China, which can further subcontract local companies.
