Police Martyrs Day being observed across country today

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Lahore.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police Martyrs Day (Youm-e-Shuhada) is being observed across the country on Tuesday (today) as ceremonies are being held in various cities including Lahore and Karachi, Dunya News reported.

A special anthem has been launched on the day to pay tribute to the martyrs. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Lahore, laid floral wreath and offered Fatiha. Police martyrs are our pride, he said.





Likewise, Karachi East DIG placed floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in the metropolis and prayed for the martyrs. Malir and Karachi East SSPs also paid visit to the graves of the martyred officials along with other officers. 




Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar tweeted, “On Police Martyrs Day, tribute to martyrs of Pakistan Police. In the line of duty, they have been the 1st responders to every cry for help and answered every call with purpose and pride.”



A ceremony was arranged at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters in Islamabad. FIA DG Wajid Zia laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and lauded the efforts of the martyrs.
