LHC conducts hearing on petition against appointment of 16 PM advisors

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court heard a petition filed against the appointment of 16 advisers to Prime Minister Imran Khan. The court, while upholding the objection of the Registrar’s Office on the application, directed the petitioner to attach the notification of appointment of Special Advisers.

According to details, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Muhammad Qasim Khan advised the government’s legal representative to come better prepared next time, remarking that according to the young lawyer’s statements, the federal government has its pitch wet.

He remarked that there is grass on the pitch as well and it seems the government will be on the receiving end. He advised the lawyers of the federal government to come fully prepared after Eid-ul-Azha.

It may be recalled that Nadeem Sarwar, Advocate in the Lahore High Court, has challenged the appointments of special advisers to Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Prime Minister, the Law Ministry, Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Shahzad Akbar, Zafar Mirza and others have been made parties in the petition.
