Pakistan making leaps in tackling pollution and climate change

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan has been taking critical steps to overcome pollution and climate change in recent times. Prime Minister Imran Khan in a tweet has said that he is proud of the government’s efforts for a clean and green Pakistan to fight pollution and climate change.

Prime Minister Imran Khan shared a video on Clean Green Pakistan and the government’s efforts. The video shows how Pakistan is tackling the challenge of pollution and climate change.

The video says that Pakistan has achieved the United Nations Climate Change Goals 10 years early and it is facing the challenge effectively despite adverse conditions.

The video states that Pakistan has fought climate change by planting billions of trees and moving towards clean energy, electric vehicles and introducing green jobs. Pakistan took the UN’s climate change goals head on instead of kicking the can down the road.

The video further states that Pakistan is a great example for other countries to follow. The one-minute video also shows Prime Minister Imran Khan’s address to the World Economic Forum and other initiatives.

Along with the video, Imran Khan wrote that he was proud of Pakistan’s continued efforts for a clean and green Pakistan against climate change and pollution.
