Qazi Faez Isa files review petition against June 19 decision
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Justice Qazi Faez Isa has filed a review petition against the June 19 decision of the Supreme Court. The petition seeks that the Supreme Court reviews the decision and quash the interim order. The execution of the court decision should be stayed till the decision on the review application.
According to the details, a stand has been taken in the petition filed by Justice Faez Isa that our pending petitions should be set for hearing before an interim order is issued. Waited for a detailed court decision which was delayed.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa has said in his petition that he has filed the petition to remain within the time frame. The petition also states that I reserve the right to submit additional documents. The FBR has already taken action against my family before a detailed decision was made.
He asserted that in many cases, he and his family were not even heard. Even the Attorney General and the FBR were not heard.
He said in the petition that it was not within the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court to ask the FBR for an inquiry after the reference was quashed. Orders to the FBR to submit a report to the Supreme Judicial Council are also unwarranted.
Giving instructions to the FBR in this matter is tantamount to giving an open waiver to the executive. The executive has already taken illegal action against me. After a brief decision, the government violated court orders by replacing the FBR chairman.
The petition also states that the change of Chairman FBR is an attempt to achieve desired outcome. The FBR s posting of notices outside the applicant s residence is malicious. The main purpose of pasting this notice is to ridicule me and my family.
