Usman Buzdar to remain Punjab CM: PM Imran
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan while expressing satisfaction over steps taken by Punjab government for providing relief to masses said that provincial government did an excellent job in curbing spread of coronavirus.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Lahore on a day-long visit and met Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at CM House. Usman Buzdar briefed the PM about the supply and stability of flour and wheat prices in the province and steps taken by the provincial government to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.
The Chief Minister also apprised the PM about establishment of River Ravi Front Authority to build a new city in the north of Lahore. The new Dubai-like city is expected to attract investments worth Rs5 trillionby the private sector, he added.
On the other hand, according to sources, PM Imran has once again rejected rumors of Usman Buzdar’s removal and said that Usman Buzdar will remain Chief Minister of Punjab.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister and brief him on Aab Pak Authority and other welfare measures.
Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid will brief the Prime Minister on the development projects in the health sector. PM Imran will also attend the launching ceremony of an international brand. He will also plant a tree under the monsoon tree-planting campaign.
Sources further informed that Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura. Investment of Rs250 billion is expected in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park.
