Six cops injured as prisoners stage protest at District Jail Gujrat
Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and shifted the injured police officials to hospital.
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – At least six police officials were wounded when prisoners staged a protest at the District Jail Gujrat on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the protesting prisoners at the District Jail Gujrat went on a rampage and pelted stones at the police, causing injuries to six police officials. They also set ablaze furniture and other equipment of the jail.
A heavy contingent of police reached the spot to bring the situation under control. Rescue 1122 teams also reached the spot and shifted the injured police officials to hospital.
