Why has Jahangir Tareen not returned to Pakistan, asks Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has said that instead of giving flowery lectures on history, the Prime Minister should tell the nation why Jahangir Tareen has still not returned to Pakistan.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said that in the last two years the PM has left no room for the opposition to cooperate with the government. He directed a comment at the Pm saying that it is now too late to seek the cooperation of the opposition.

Regarding India becoming a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, Khawaja Asif said that the more worrying fact is that India got elected with a large number of votes, meaning that Pakistan has failed to make the world realize India’s atrocities and oppression in Kashmir. He said that we must look at the ground realities, even our so-called brotherly Muslim countries also voted for India.

Criticizing the Prime Minister, he said that while half of Pakistan’s population fell below the poverty line and coronavirus cases rose, our Pm was calling the virus a flu and saying that there is no need to panic. He said that we must take steps to eradicate the virus completely.

He quipped that if the Prime Minister does not listen to his colleagues, he should at least get a tutor and learn some economics. He also pointed out that till date, PM Imran Khan has appeared in National Assembly the least amount of times which shows his seriousness towards addressing issues through dialogue and parliamentary consensus.
