Sheikh Rashid recovering fast from COVID-19
Sheikh Rashid was tested positive for deadly coronavirus on June 8.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, who tested positive for coronavirus on June 8, is recovering fast from the disease and will be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Sheikh Rashid was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi as a precautionary measure on Saturday on his doctor’s advice as he was feeling unwell.
According to sources, Federal Minister for Railways is recovering fast from coronavirus at the hospital and will be shifted to his house from the hospital in two days.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was tested positive for deadly coronavirus on June 8 (Monday). He went into self-isolation at his home after he contracted the infection.
On the other hand, Pakistan has confirmed 118 deaths by novel coronavirus on Thursday as the number of positive cases has surged to 160,118. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 3,093.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Till now 60,138 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 59,983 in Sindh, 19,613 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 8,794 in Balochistan, 9,637 in Islamabad, 1,213 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 740 in Azad Kashmir.
