LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Thursday adjourned Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s petitions against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman’s authority for indefinite time.

A bench headed by Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem conducted hearing of the case. Chaudhry brothers’ counsel did not appear before the court due to novel coronavirus.

It is pertinent here to mention that president of the LHC Bar had requested the court to adjourn hearing of the case after two persons from Amjad Pervaiz’s office contracted COVID-19.

Let it be known that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had earlier moved the LHC against the NAB chairman’s authority and alleged that the anti-corruption watchdog is involved in political engineering.
