PIA special flight to bring back students stranded from Wuhan leaves June 5

Three hundred Pakistani students will be brought back by the special flight.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The second special flight of PIA will leave for Wuhan on June 5 for the repatriation of Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan, China for the past five months. Three hundred Pakistani students will be brought back by the special flight.

Arrangements have been finalized for the special flight coming from Wuhan and all the students of the flight will undergo a medical examination at the airport and the National Institute of Health (NIH) team will test them for Coronavirus.

Students will be allowed to go home if COVID-19 symptoms do not appear after testing, while under the track and trace system, residential addresses and phone numbers of all Pakistani students coming from china will be recorded at the airport.

According to PIA spokesman, Pakistani students will be flown to Islamabad from Wuhan on a special flight PK8872 and Special discounted fares have been introduced for students as per government guidelines.

He said that the PIA flight has been scheduled to depart from Wuhan at 3:40 pm and will land at Islamabad airport at 7 pm by local time.
