Punjab Govt issues notice regarding business hours during smart lockdown
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government has issued a notice explaining business hours during smart lockdown in the light of proposed suggestions by the federal government and provincial cabinet.
According to the notification educational institutes, marriage halls, restaurants, parks and cinema halls will remain closed, while social and religious gatherings and sports activities will also remain suspended. Business centers in the province will be allowed to operate from Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm.
In addition, medical stores, tyre shops, flour mills and agricultural workshops will be allowed to remain open 24 hours a day while call centers will only be allowed to operate with 50 percent staff.
According to the notification inter-district transport will remain open 24 hours a day, while grocery and general stores will be allowed to open between 9am to 7pm, seven days a week.
All churches will be opened for worship only on Sundays from 7 am to 5 pm. The notification will be effective immediately and will remain in force till June 15.
