Federal Govt challenges IHC decision to reinstate Islamabad Mayor

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal government has challenged Islamabad High Court’s decision to reinstate the mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz. An intra-court appeal has been filed in IHC against the decision of the single bench.
According to details, Additional Attorney General Tariq Khokhar filed the intra-court appeal on behalf of the federal government against the decision of the Islamabad High Court.
The petition said that the single bench on May 21 ordered the reinstatement of Sheikh Ansar Aziz but the suspension of Sheikh Ansar Aziz was nullified without fulfilling all legal requirements. Therefore, the decision of the single bench should be overruled.
