Don't politicize the pandemic, PM Imran asks national leadership

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday asked the national leadership not to politicize the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic across the country.

The prime minister presided over a meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad. The meeting reviewed the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding the coronavirus case.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan briefed the prime minister on Supreme Court’s verdict. On the occasion, PM Imran said that the government would ensure meaningful implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Court.

The federal cabinet meeting also approved the installation of telemeters for equitable distribution of water in the provinces.

Imran Khan while appreciating the steps taken by Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda said that equitable distribution of water was a matter of urgency, adding that the ministry of water resources should take this matter to a logical conclusion.

Talking about the growing dangers of locust heart, he said that the government is fully prepared to deal with it, adding that we took immediate and timely actions.

He conveyed a message to the national leadership not to politicize the issue of pandemics.
