Imran Khan said the present government is following zero tolerance policy towards child abuse

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Imran Khan says the government will continue to implement conventions and enhance its engagement with EU partners to improve socio-economic conditions of the people.

He was chairing a briefing in Islamabad today to review progress on implementation status of GSP Plus related conventions.

The Prime Minister said the twenty-seven UN conventions associated with the GSP Plus status are fully in consonance with Pakistan s constitutional obligations and PTI s people-centric agenda.

He appreciated EU s decision for continuation of GSP plus status to Pakistan, which contributed towards enhancement of country s exports and further strengthening of ties with EU member countries.

Imran Khan further said the present government is following zero tolerance policy towards child abuse and child labor in the country.

He said every possible effort will be made to safeguard and protect vulnerable segments of society.

The Prime Minister directed Advisor on Climate Change to expedite formulation of national policy related to waste management in consultation with provincial governments.
