A petition was heard in the Sindh High Court against the ban on worship in mosques

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The reply submitted by Sindh government to Sindh High Court says that worship in mosques has not been banned and prayers and Taraweeh are being offered under the 20-point SOPs given by the Federal Government.

According to details, a petition was heard in the Sindh High Court against the ban on worship in mosques. On this occasion, the provincial government submitted a written reply to the court.

The written reply says that the Sindh Government has not banned worship in mosques and prayers are being held under 20-point SOPs of the federal government.

The provincial government also presented fatwas asking for restricting worship in mosques to the High Court. The High Court directed the petitioner to file a reply and adjourned the hearing till May 19. It should be noted that the petitioner had taken the position that stopping worshipers from going to mosques is a violation of Islamic Law as well as the Constitution.
