SC to take up coronavirus suo moto case on Monday

The court has issued notices to attorney general, secretary health and provincial advocate generals.

ISLAMANAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the coronavirus suo moto case on May 4 (Monday).

A five member larger bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, will take up the case.

The court has issued notices to attorney general, secretary health and provincial advocate generals.

Notices were also issued to interior secretary, chief secretaries of all four provinces and other parties.

It is pertinent here to mention that the Supreme Court (SC) had ordered to remove Dr Zafar Mirza from his post as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Health.

The bench said that there were some serious allegations against the team of special assistants to the prime minister.
