Ex-food secretary accuses inquiry committee of protecting Punjab's flour mafia
He also demanded the athorities concerned to form a judicial commission.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former secretary food Naseem Sadiq on Friday alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan was being misguided to save the flour mafia in Punjab.
In a letter written to the Chief Secretary, Naseem Sadiq alleged that the Punjab flour mafia was being saved.
He said, “I served as secretary food for two months and two days and the wheat procurement campaign had started when I took charge.”
Sadiq further stated in his letter that there is no connection between wheat procurement campaign and flour shortage, adding that the target of purchase of 4 million tons of wheat has never been achieved.
The former secretary food went to state that despite the low yields, the performance was better and he implemented the cabinet’s decision. The inquiry committee is biased, he said.
Naseem Sadiq claimed that the prime minister was being misguided, adding that two members of the inquiry committee pressurised him for allotment of house.
He also demanded the athorities concerned to form a judicial commission.
