Pakistan has reported 58 deaths from novel coronavirus

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A 32 year old female patient of the deadly coronavirus, admitted in Mayo Hospital has reportedly passed away. The patient is said to have been a liver patient.

According to details, the patient was brought to Mayo Hospital on April 3 and on her arrival, she had given a written refusal to receive liver dialysis.

Chief Executive Officer Mayo Hospital Asad Aslam said that the patient’s refusal to receive liver dialysis had resulted in her death. This takes the total number of patients to have lost their lives while getting treatment in Mayo Hospital to nine.

In total, Pakistan has reported 58 deaths from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases has surged to 4072.

2,030 patients have tested positive for the virus in Punjab, 932 in Sindh, 500 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 211 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 202 in Balochistan, 83 in Islamabad and 19 in Azad Kashmir.

So far, 467 patients have recovered in the country while 25 are in critical condition.
