CM Sindh decides to tighten provincial lockdown

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has expressed displeasure at the public for ignoring social distancing directives and has decided to make the provincial lockdown more stringent.
This decision was taken during a consultative meeting of the provincial cabinet in CM House. While reviewing the coronavirus situation in the province, the Chief Minister directed law enforcement agencies to ensure complete imposition of lockdown restrictions.
The CM praised the efforts of Police and Rangers for their efforts in curtailing the spread of the virus but wanted to see the same strictness from authorities as in the first week of the lockdown.
He sternly directed officials to restrict non-essential public movement as the rising number of coronavirus cases was very alarming. He also appealed to the public to isolate themselves in their homes before the situation gets out of control.
