CM Buzdar announces Rs5bn fund to combat coronavirus
The CM said that a ban has been imposed on visiting various tourist destinations including Murree.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that the provincial government has allocated funds worth Rs5 billion in order to curtail the risk of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Talking to media in Lahore on Wednesday, he said that as many as 28 people have been tested positive for the COVID-19 in Punjab, while there are 189 suspected cases of the virus.
The chief minister said that a ban has been imposed on visiting various tourist destinations including Murree, while shopping malls and restaurants will be closed at 10pm. Factories and markets will remain open, he said.
Buzdar went on to say that a center in Taftan will be established by the Punjab government, adding that the provincial government has been preparations to build 1,000-bed temporary field hospital.
