Maryam Nawaz said that her father is seriously ill as 80 to 90% of his arteries are blocked.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that her resolve is stronger than ever and when party instructs to play her role, she will not back down.

Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz has said that there can be many reasons for her silence and asked media reporters if they can show what she says. Maryam added that she is banned from media as media houses cannot show what they actually want to show.

Talking to media at residence of former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in Islamabad, Maryam Nawaz said that her father is seriously ill as 80 to 90% of his arteries are blocked.

Answering a question, she said that it is true that her sister and brother are serving her father in every possible way but she is also his child and wants to meet him.

She also refuted reports that PML-N supremo refused to get treatment without her and said that Nawaz Sharif asked to wait till hearing of her case.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also said, "My desire to meet my father is valid. However, my case is in the court.” Maryam also said that she has asked Nawaz Sharif to get treatment without her if court does not allow her to go abroad.

Talking about her long absence from political activities, she said that the reason behind her silence is her father’s deteriorating health; however, she emphasized that if someone thinks that they can undermine her resolve by fear and threats, her determination is stronger than ever.
