Coronavirus cases: Emergency declared in KMC hospitals in Karachi
Vacations of doctors and paramedical staff of the KMC hospitals have also been canceled.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mayor Karachi, Waseem Akhtar, has declared emergency in all the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) hospitals in Karachi on Wednesday after first coronavirus case was reported in the city, Dunya News reported.
Isolation wards have been setup in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), Landhi Medical Complex Hospital, and Sarfaraz Rafiqui Shaheed Hospital on the directives of Waseem Akhtar to meet the novel coronavirus threat.
Vacations of doctors and paramedical staff of the KMC hospitals have also been canceled. Wasim Akhtar has urged citizens to take precautionary measures and also asked them to avoid visiting crowded places.
