Govt accepts PML-Q's demands, includes Pervaiz Khattak in talks

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Accepting the demand of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Pervaiz Khattak, the head of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) previous committee, has been included in the dialogues.

The negotiating committee formally contacted the PML-Q leadership and will hold an important meeting at the residence of Chaudhary brothers in Lahore at 12:30pm.

The members of the committee including Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood.

The PML-Q had demanded Pervaiz Khattak to participate in the talks. Federal Minister Asad Umer has also been included in the committee.

Earlier today, senior leaders of the PML-Q have said that they are ready for talks with the new committee formed by the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to sources, a meeting between both the parties will be held in few days.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar said that opposition’s wish of breakup between government and its coalition parties will never be fulfilled.

Previously, PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi had demanded the government to fulfill the promises it made on matters negotiated between the two parties.

He said that he had informed Prime Minister Imran Khan about reservations of his party but assured him that PML-Q will continue to support the government.

He added that according to their agreement with the government, ministers from his party will be empowered and there will be no interference in their ministries.
