MQM-P will soon return to federal cabinet: Sindh Governor

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Governor Sindh Imran Ismail on Thursday said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will soon be making a comeback in the federal cabinet as most of the reservations have been resolved with few still under the table.

Provincial Governor expressed that Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to speed up the meetings. “Have good relations with MQM-P and meeting them on a daily basis to resolve their reservations,” he added.

He went on to say that the premier and the Sindh Cabinet have asked for consultation on the issue regarding provincial IG. He added that the matter will be addressed easily if Sindh government consults on it.

Imran Ismail further apprised that the federal government holds the authority to appoint a new Sindh IG if the provincial government does not move forward with it. “Only PM Imran can tell when will the IG be changed,” he added.
