Open manhole claims life of minor boy in Gujranwala
A-three-year-old boy died after falling into a manhole in Gujranwala on Wednesday.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – A minor boy was killed when he accidently fell into an open manhole in Kot Ishaq area of Gujranwala on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, three-year-old boy was playing outside his house when he fell into the open manhole. Family members with the help of neighbours retrieved the body from the manhole.
Residents of the area staged a protest and demanded action against the officials responsible for the incident. Angry mob placed the dead body of the child on the road and blocked it for all kind traffic.
They were of the view that despite several reminders, WASA officials did not take any action. They have demanded of the CM Punjab to provide them justice.
