PML-Q again demands govt to implement on matters negotiated between two parties

PML-Q leader Tariq Cheems said their basic agreement with the govt is provide relief to the masses.

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – The leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Wednesday again demanded the government to fulfil the promises it made and implement on matters negotiated between the two parties.

Talking to media in Sialkot at the residence of party leader Chaudhry Saleem Baryar and flanked by Ansar Baryar, Umar Dar and Bao Rizwan, Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema said that they are government’s coalition partners and will consult their party before making any decision.

He said that their basic agreement with the government is provide relief to the masses, adding that the inflation has increased in the country.

Cheema suggested the government to correct its issues, adding “Our position is clear and other allies should also clear position.”

On the other hand, PML-Q leader Monis Elahi said that his party only demands the government to fulfill the promises it had made.

Earlier, the PML-Q leader said that some former members of his party are misleading Imran Khan. Moonis Elahi said that he informed Prime Minister Imran Khan about reservations of his party but assured him that PML-Q will continue to support the government.

He said that his party wants to resolve issues in a favorable way; however, he expressed reservations on formation of another committee. He added that according to their agreement with the government, ministers from his party will be empowered and there will be no interference in their ministries.

PML-Q leader said that there was some progress with the first committee. However, federal minister Shafqat Mehmood assured that commitments made by first committee will be honored.

Moonis Elahi further said that he is in contact with members of PML-N. However, he rejected reports that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is a candidate for post of Chief Minister and said that his party wants to stay in coalition with the government.

He expressed hope that government will overcome flour and sugar crises.

On Sunday, the PML-Q announced that talks will be held when the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government initiate implementation on matters negotiated between the two parties.

An emergency meeting of the PML-Q was held in Lahore with Chaudhary Shujaat in chair. The meeting was attended by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Member National Assembly Monis Elahi, Hussain Elahi and others.
