Bilawal Bhutto announced to launch a movement against the government over rising inflation.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday announced to launch an anti-government movement against inflation, saying that the incumbent leadership has failed to fulfill its promises and increased the poverty by striking a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Speaking at the inauguration event of the People’s Urban Forest programme in Lyari, Bilawal expressed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government should re-negotiate the “PTIMF” budget with the global body. He emphasized that the government has to make a deal in the favor of its people and should avoid bargaining their rights.

PPP Chairman alleged that the government is stealing the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the first safety net initiative of Pakistan, from poor people. “Prime Minister Imran Khan vowed to deliver a million jobs and five million houses but on the contrary, he took away employment and demolished many houses”, he added.

The scion of Bhutto dynasty went on to say that the poor people are bearing the burden of inflation. “The government is trying to rob people of their economic rights”, he expressed, calling on people to support him to build a public ruling. He promised to form a public government and defend the economic rights of the people.

He asserted that the federal government is not giving Sindh its legitimate right but they will complete the development projects despite less resources and conspiracies against them. He said that “we all will make the Urban Forest programme a success”.
