Outgoing Italian envoy pays farewell call to COAS Gen Qamar Bajwa
The Italian Ambassador appreciated Pakistan's role for ensuring peace and stability in the region
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo paid a farewell call to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS thanked the ambassador for his services in Pakistan and acknowledged his contributions towards strengthening Pakistan-Italy relations.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa also congratulated the Italian ambassador on his appointment as Civil Senior Representative of NATO in Afghanistan.
The Italian Ambassador appreciated Pakistan s role for ensuring peace and stability in the region and also pledged to contribute positively towards Afghan peace.
