COAS Gen Bajwa calls on PM Imran, discusses regional security
The meeting talked about the security situation along the LoC along with other regional matters.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday and discussed the national security along with various professional affairs of the Armed Forces.
According to sources, the meeting talked about the security situation across the Line of Control (LoC) along with other regional security matters.
On Jan 14, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan will continue to play its role for regional peace without compromising on national security.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan is the leading participant in the region with significant contributions towards peace and stability.
“We shall continue to play our responsible and positive role towards this end without compromising national security and defence of the motherland at whatever cost,” the COAS said.
Taking account of repeated provocative statements of Indian military leadership regarding aggression against Pakistan, the forum termed it as an irresponsible rhetoric with implications on regional peace and stability.
