FBR rejects reports of friction between Chairman, PM Imran Khan

Chairman FBR is on vacations in Karachi till January 19

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Spokesperson of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) clarified that there is no friction between Chairman Shabbar Zaidi and Prime Minister (PM) or his advisor Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.

Spokesperson of FBR said that Chairman is on vacations in Karachi till January 19 for his regular medical checkup.

On the other hand, Chairman FBR tweeted, “The Prime Minister has very graciously consented to preside a meeting with all Pakistan traders on 20th of January. The meeting will be held in PM house. The PM will formally announce the concessions given to traders community and will seek assistance of trade bodies in complete documentation and tax contribution by trading sector.”

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said that that the journey of economic stability of the country will continue and economic team enjoys full confidence of PM Imran Khan

She also clarified that news of the differences between the economic team is baseless, misleading and based on wishes. Government’s economic team will continue to work with full understanding.
